Getting There
  

By tram
Adelaide Botanic Garden has a tram stop outside its Main Gate on North Terrace, called Botanic Gardens. The tram stop is approximately 100 metres from the entrance. Travelling by tram is free of charge in the city centre. Please visit Adelaide Metro for more information.

By bus
The Garden can also be accessed by bus. The bus stops closest to Adelaide Botanic Garden are Stops I2, R1 (North Terrace), Y1, B1 (East Terrace). Please check Adelaide Metro for bus services into the city.
Already in the city? A free city connector bus stops on North Terrace and East Terrace, close to the Garden's Main Gate entrance on North Terrace.

By bike
Bike racks are available outside the Garden entrances. Please only walk your bike through the Garden.

By car
Car parking is available on Plane Tree Drive, with easy access to the Garden through the Friends Gate, Conservatory Gate or Hackney Gate.
Please note that visitors are not permitted to drive their vehicles inside Adelaide Botanic Garden.

ACCESS

Adelaide Botanic Garden is accessible from all entrance gates except for the Hackney Gate off Hackney Road. It has paved and bitumen paths running throughout the Garden making it accessible for wheelchair users.

Accessible toilets are available in the Garden at the Schomburgk Pavilion (E10 map reference), the Noel Lothian Hall (D15 map reference) and the Simpson Kiosk (E5 map reference).

A changing places bathroom facility can be found at B10 (map reference) for those with a disability or high support needs. An MLAK key is required to access these facility. More information regarding obtaining an MLAK key can be found here

The cafe, kiosk and restaurant all have ramp access.

Wheelchairs are available to hire from reception in the Goodman Building on Hackney Road, seven days a week, including public holidays, however they must be pre-booked. More info here

Assistance dogs are welcome in the Garden.
